If the course is a majestic piece of risk and reward, tease and torment, then the modern airy clubhouse is quite simply a golfer's sanctuary.

Set into the hillside that crowns this site it affords fabulous views of the course, and surrounding countryside. If the views are stunning, then it is the comfort offered inside the building that has increased the club's reputation with members and visitors.

Whilst its position on the hillside creates an illusion of a split level design, the reality is that of a two storey building that divides perfectly into upper and lower levels. These levels create a natural division of activity within the clubhouse.

The lower level is devoted to the golfer exclusively. It houses all of the changing facilities, committee member's office, golfer's reception hall and the club owned Pro Shop. This level remains very much at the heart of South County Golf, as it provides a natural gathering area for all players.

The upper level by contrast is dedicated more to 'Apres Golf '. The magnificent bar and restaurant areas provide the perfect setting for the Food and Beverage operation that has fast become the talk of the Dublin golf scene.

The varied and interesting menu options offered in both the bar and restaurant, seem to be only challenged by the service that delivers them to the eagerly awaiting diner. It is rare for golf clubs to offer cuisine of this standard, but the venue itself seems almost to demand it.
