Ladies Winter League 2010 - Prizewinners
Congratulations to the following ladies on their performance in the 2010 Winter League. Barbara ran away at the top of the table with a fantastic result, while second and third place were closely fought, the result being decided by count back over 6 cards! Congrats to :
Winner : Barbara Fitzpattrick (63 points)
Runner Up : Pauline Curtis (41 points, on count back)
Third Place : Mary Buckley (41 points).
Thank you to all ladies who participated, and on your behalf I would like to extend our thanks to Lady Vice and Competitions Secretary Pauline for the work put into compiling the league, which was a challenge this year given all the formats in play.
Ladies Winter League 2010 - format
You will be allocated merit points after each game you play.
You will receive 10 points if you reach standard scratch of the course in play.
If you are above above or below standard scratch you will receive points accordingly:
18 Hole Course, best 9:
* Full Handicaps.
* 18 points will give you 10 merit points, 17 points will give you 9 merit points, etc.
e.g. If you have 20 points, you will receive 12 points as you are 2 points better than standard scratch.
* Standard Scratch is 18 points.
12 Hole Winter Course:
* 2/3's handicaps.
* 24 points will give you 10 merit points, 23 points will give you 9 merit points, etc.
e.g. If you have 26 points, you will receive 12 merit points as you are 2 points better than standard scratch.
* Standard Scratch is 24
12 Hole Frost Course:
* 2/3's handicaps.
* 24 points will give you 10 merit points, 23 points will give you 9 merit points, etc.
e.g. If you have 26 points, you will receive 12 merit points as you are 2 points better than standard scratch.
* Standard Scratch is 24
BEST 5 CARDS TO COUNT
Entry Fee €10
Winter League and weekly competitions are seperate.
Weekly competitions will be held over the different courses.
Competitions may be combined before a winner is declared. Fee per entry is €5
