The Pro Shop at The South County Golf Club is headed up by renowned PGA Professional Raymie Burns. Raymie turned professional in 1993 and since then, has been one of Ireland's leading professionals both on and off the course. Having had numerous top 10 finishes on the European Tour, while holding his playing privileges for the 4 consecutive years he competed, Raymie decided to turn to his true passion in golf - coaching.

He has represented Ireland at all levels since he was junior and very quickly worked his way up the ranks of professional golf. Being a former Walker Cup and Eisenhower Trophy player, he got onto the European Tour as soon as he turned professional in 1993 and notching up 2 wins during this time, his hard work and discipline paid off when he won the Order of Merit on the European Challenge Tour in 1994. He was also the Touring Professional at the K Club during this time.

Raymie would also be known as one of the Irish voices of golf, being RTE radio's golf commentator since 1995, and will we ever forget his fantastic commentary of the Ryder Cup at the K Club.

Since 2006 he has managed the PGA approved Professional Shop here at the club, where he is ably assisted by his two assistant professionals Cormac and Simon.  The junior coaching programme is of particularly importance to Raymie and his team and is renounded for having one of the best junior coacing programmes in the country.

Together this team supplies the members and visiting players with all the latest and greatest tools of the trade and all at reasonable prices. From customised apparel wear to the latest practice devices The South County Golf Club Pro Shop has it all.

When it comes to equipment the Pro Shop is also at the cutting edge of development as Raymie is a qualified Mizuno, Ping, Cobra and Wilson club fitter allowing him to customize a set of clubs for any individual's requirements.  They also provide full club repair facilities, i.e.  re-gripping, re-shafting and advice on the latest shaft technology.
