The South County Golf Club

  1. Out of Bounds
    • Over any boundary wall, fence or hedge
    • Outside all areas marked by white or black and white stakes, and on or over all lines/cuttings defining out of bounds
    • Car park and clubhouse enclosure
    • Practice area between 17th and 18th holes
  2. Water Hazards (Rule 26 Applies)
    • Red stakes define lateral water hazards
    • Yellow stakes define water hazards
    • Red/Yellow stakes define the intersection of each hazard
    • Note: on the 12th hole, if taking relief under penalty from the hazard, under Rule 26-1 C (1) between the bridge and the avenue, the dropping zone must be used.
  3. Immovable Obstructions (Rule 24-2 Applies)
    • All roads, paths, bridges, fixed furniture, steps, tee markers and mats.
    • All staked trees, all wired trees and all trees marked by white paint.
    • All sprinkler heads, hydrant covers and fairway distance triangles.
  4. Movable Obstructions (Rule 24-1 Applies)
    • Loose stones in bunkers and distance poles to sides of fairways
    • Black and white stakes.
  5. Blue Staked Areas: play forbidden- drop out without penalty. Use dropping zone closest to point of entry and not nearer the hole.
