South County offers several different kinds of membership

Shareholder Membership

This category of member in addition to full playing and voting rights in The South County Golf Club is a shareholder in The South County Golf Club (Properties) Ltd which is the company that holds the lease for the lands upon which the golf club is built.(This share is held in trust by the Nominees who are appointed by The South County Golf Club (2004) Ltd).This category of member has full voting and participation rights in the operating company (South County Golf Club (2004) Ltd) that leases the lands from the property company.The ownership of the share entitles the holder to full playing and participation rights in The South County Golf Club and these rights may be leased by the benificial owner to a person approved by the committee.This share is transferable in accordance with the articles of association of the company.

Seven Day Membership

This category of member is entitled to full playing and participation rights in The South County Golf Club.This Membership is for life is not transferable and ceases when the subscription and levies associated with it remain unpaid for a period of time as stipulated by the constitution of The South County Golf Club.This category carries no voting rights in relation to the operating company South County Golf club (2004) Ltd. or the property company South County Golf Club (Properties) Ltd.This category can be upgraded at any time with the agreement of the board of the operating company and for an agreed fee with the member

Five Day Membership

This category of member is entitled to playing rights on a five day basis (Monday to Friday). This membership is for life is not tranferable and ceases when the subscription and levies remain unpaid for a period of time as stipulated in the the constituation of the golf club.This category carries no rights in relation to the operation of any of the companies or the golf club but can be upgraded to another category with agreement of the board of the operating company and for an agreed fee with the member

Annual Membership

This category of member has the same playing rights as shareholder and seven day members. There are no voting rights associated and the membership is renewable annually.This category can be upgraded at any time to another category with the agreement of the board and for a fee agreed with the member
